Job Title: Social Housing Carpenter

About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team working within social housing properties. The role involves carrying out day-to-day repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment work to ensure homes are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry repairs and installations in occupied and void social housing properties
Work on doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, fencing, and general joinery
Complete reactive maintenance and planned works
Ensure all work is completed safely and to required standards
Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues
Accurately complete job records and reports

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry or equivalent (preferred)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
